Everyday Essentials

Everyday Essentials

It’s been a while since I’ve done a beauty-related post, so I thought that today I’d share a few of my fav everyday products. On a day-to-day basis, I like to keep things pretty simple and lightweight. I love the routine of getting ready each morning, but I also don’t tend to have tons of time on my hands, and my morning routine has to be pretty quick.

So, without further ado, here are a few of my fav products at the moment…

Hair

I have very straight and silky hair, so I usually add a little bit of product as soon as I get out of the shower in order to give my hair some texture and body. I’m definitely not a pro when it comes to styling my hair, and have always been the one to just toss my hair up in bun or a pony and forget about it… But recently I’ve acutally been trying to figure out some styles that work for me. My three favorite products at the moment are the texture clay and beach wave mousse by Moroccan Oil, and the surf spray by Bumble and Bumble. Usually I’ll use the mousse and texture clay together or the surf spray. I’ve found that by doing so as soon as I get out of the shower, my hair dries with a little bit more texture and body, and it’s much easier to style it later on.

Makeup

When it comes to everyday makeup, I tend to stick cream products in order to get a really natural “no-makeup” makeup look. After moisturizine, I always go in with primer. I only recently started using primer, and it really does make a huge difference in the way that the rest of my makeup goes on my face. I’ve tried out a few different high-end primers, but I always end up going back the neutrogena healthy skin primer. It has spf 15 in it, and leaves my skin with a really nice glow. This primer is super inexpensive and you can find it at any drug store. I’ve been using glossier products religiously for the past year (ish) now, and I honestly can’t find a line that I love more. Specifically, I love the perfecting skin tint and the cloud paint, but I’ve honestly tried and loved most of their products. Benefits sunbeam is perfect for adding a subtle, bronzy highlight, and I’m currently loving Milk makeup’s KUSH high volume mascara. Lastly, on a day-to-day basis, I almost never will wear color on my lips, and instead will top it all off with some Burt’s Bees lipbalm.

Fragrance

Before running out the door, I always like to apply some sort of perfume or body mist — it just makes me feel a little bit more fresh and put together. When it comes to fragrances, I like to switch it up, and am constantly trying out new perfumes. The three that I absolutely love, however, are Calvin Klein’s One, Chance by Chanel, and Tocca’s Stella (tocca has the some of the best scents and I have almost every single one).

So that’s it — there you have it. Those are just a few of my fav products at the moment… I could honestly go on and on about so many more products that I’ve tried and loved recently, but these are just the essentials!
