Makeup Favs: A Condensed Routine For The Girl On The Go

If you know me, you know that I love makeup.

I think it’s such a fun form of expression, and a wonderful way to enhance the aspects that you love the most about yourself. While makeup is a lot of fun, certain products can also be really harsh and harmful to your skin. There’s nothing worse than feeling like your face is suffocating under multiple layers of foundation and powder. I’m constantly on the go, and don’t all the time in the world, so I’m always on the hunt for great makeup products that can be applied quickly, and don’t feel heavy on the skin.

Whether I’m in a rush, or simply don’t want to commit to a full face, these are my go-to products…

Glossier Perfecting Skin Tint

My absolute favorite skin tint. This product is so light on the skin, and adds just the right amount of coverage. This tint smooths and evens out your skintone, without making you look cakey. If you’re going for that light, glowy look, this is the product for you

*If I want a little bit more coverage, I’ll mix this tint with the Estée Lauder double wear foundation. The two products mix really well and provide the perfect amount of coverage”

Glossier Cloud Paint

Speaking of Glossier, I can’t not mention the Cloud Paint. While technically this is a blush, I use it all over my face — I’m talking cheeks, eyelids… even on the bridge of my nose for that perfect “sunkissed” look. I’ve tried out a few different shades, and my favorite would definitely be storm. It’s a stunning muted rose color that blends beautifully on the skin.

*Note that a little bit goes a longgg way with this stuff. You really need a lot less than you’d think. Also… blending is your friend!

Too Faced Lip Injection

The Too Faced Lip Injection is a must if you ask me. This product definitely takes a little bit of getting used to, as it stings a little bit when you first apply it, but it’s worth it. This gloss gives your lips a soft and subtle plump look and is perfect for day-to-day wear.

Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronzer

I was a little bit late on this trend, but I finally got my habds on the bronzer that everybody — literally everbody — is so obsessed with. The O!Mega Bronzer is worth the hype. I add this product to the natural contours on my face in to get a little bit more color. I love that it adds that desired warmth without making you look orange, and unlike many bronzers on the market, this product has a smooth silky finish that doesn’t feel dry on the skin. 10/10 would recommend.

Marc Jacobs Coconut Get Highlighter

Just like the cloud paint, I use the Dew Drop Coconut Gel Highlighter for more than its intended purpose. I love adding this product to the high points of my face, on the tip of my nose, and on the inner corner of my eyelids. This highlighter will instantly bring your enture look together and make it look like you’re glowing from within.

DIOR Diorshow Iconic Overcurl

My look simply would not be complete without the Diorshow Iconic Overcurl Mascara. I’ve tried out tons of different mascaras, and always come back to this one. This mascara gives your eyelashes just the right amount of lift and volume, without making them look clumpy. A few coats is all your need with this mascara, so it’s definitely worth the price.
