2020 Skincare Musts: My Current Favorites

2020 Skincare Musts: My Current Favorites

Over the past few months, I’ve had lot’s of time on my hands… So naturally, I’ve been trying out tons of new products.

From lotions and potions to lip glosses and masks, here are my favorite new finds…

Paula’s Choice Pore-Refining Treatment

After washing and cleansing, I typically go in with this pore-refining treatment. This liquid exfoliant contains BHA aka salicylic acid, which reduces signs of aging by unclogging congested pores and reducing their size. This is a new product for me, but an absolute must. This product instantly smooths my skin and makes it feel extremely soft and refreshed.

City Beauty Advanced Eye Cream

Next, I’ll go in with an eye cream. At the moment, I’m using the advanced eye cream by City Beauty. This specific eye cream is packed with antioxidents and peptides, which promote collogen production and elasticity in order to restore hydration and firmness. It’s also cruelty free, and free of parabens and mineral oils, which is something that I always look for in my products. I haven’t been using this specific product for long, so I can’t for sure say that it works longterm, but I do really like it so far.

Fresh Lotus Youth Preserve Moisturizer

I’m a huge fan of fresh, but for some reason, hadn’t tried out this product yet. This moisturizer is lightweight and refreshing, yet luxurious and nourishing, and everytime I use it, I feel like I’m doing my skin a massive favor. This moisturizer contains super lotus, star fruit leaf extract and hyaluronic acid, which work together to target signs of aging, dryness and dullness. A little bit goes a long way with this product, so you really do get what you’re paying for.

Supergoop Unseen Sunscreen

I’m a huge believer in the fact that when it comes to skincare, none of it really matters if you’re not protecting your skin from the sun, but if you wear makeup, you know how hard it can be to find an spf that lays well underneath foundation. I’m always on the hunt for great lightweight sunscreens, which is why I really like this sunscreen. The Unseen Sunscreen is completely invisible, and perfect for wearing underneath makeup. This sunscreen is lightweight, and doesn’t leave that gross residue behind that so many other sunscreens do.

City Beauty City Lips

I’ve been using different lip plumping serums for years, but this is a new discovery for me. City Lips by City Beauty is my new favorite plumping gloss. I’ll be honest, when I first used this product, I really didn’t think it was going to work, because unlike other products that I’ve used in the past, this gloss doesn’t burn at all. Instead irritating the skin in order to cause swelling, like many products on the market, this gloss contains collogen supporting and skin rejuvinating ingredients like hylauronic acid, oligopeptides and yland ylang flower oil, which work to naturall plump the lips and create lasting results. Since using this product, my lips are noticably plumper, and feel so much more hydrated and healthy. 10/10 reccomend this product.

Ole Henriksen Cold Plunging Mask

I’m always on the hunt for product that help to reduce the appearance of pores, and this mask by Ole Henriksen is my new favorite discovery. Made with clay, snow lotus and alpine willow herb extracts, green fusion complex, and lactic acid. This cooling mask works to purify and diminish pores. I’ll apply this mask anywhere form 1-3 times about 10-15 minutes before I get in the shower. It leaves my skin feeling tight and rejuvinated, and extremely clean.

Summer Fridays R+R Mask

This list simply would not be complete without Summer Friday’s R+R Mask. This product is perfect for those days when your skin is feeling dull and like it just needs a little bit of TLC (aka me lately). This mask is rich with fatty acids, antioxidents and vitimans, and well as a little bit of rose flower powder which acts as an extremely gentle exfoliant. This mask is extremely nourishing, and helps to buff, brighten and restore the skin, all while targetting dark spots, dryness, fine lines and wrinkles. I’ll pull this mask out once or twice a week, and leave it on anywhere from 10-20 mintes. This is an absolute life saver when your skin is feeling dull or dry.

And that’s it — a few of my new obsessions!

What are some of your favorites? I’m always looking to try out new products, so let me know in the comments.

xx,

seb.
