My 5 Favorite Winter Trends
Over the past few months, I’ve been loving some of the fashion trends that I’ve been seeing. Growing up, I remember hearing about how fashion repeats itself, and this is the first year that I’ve really seen that saying come to life. Over the past few months, I’ve seen people rocking a more modern take on fashion trends from the 90s and early 2000s. We finally get to channel our inner Carrie Bradshaw, and play with different textures, prints and colors, and I’m absolutely living for it.
Here are a few of my favorite trends this season…
Bright Colors
In the past, I’ve been one to stick to neutrals when it comes to my clothing, but this year, it’s all about bright colors. Think pink, cobalt blue, yellow… even orange. Over the past few months, I’ve seen people rocking bold, bright colors, and it’s definitely inspired me to brighten up my own wardrobe.
Animal Print
It’s official… Animal print is back. Adding an animal print piece to an otherwise basic fit is one of my favorite ways to spice up your look.
Blazers
Blazers are definitely one of my favorite trends from this year. The options are endless when it comes to blazers. You can dress them up or down, and wear them as a set with a matching pair of pants, as a jacket, or as a dress.
Tweed
In the recent months, tweed has definitely made a comeback and has made its way into everday street style. I’ve always been a huge fan of tweed, as I find that it’s timeless and extremely stylish, but in the past, I always felt that I was either too young to rock it, or didn’t have the right occasion to wear it. Recently, however, it’s evolved into something that can be worn on a more day-to-day basis. Like the bazer, it can definitely be dressed up or down, and is a perfect way to add a touch of sophistocation and elegance to an outfit.
Layering Light Neutrals
This winter, it’s all about layers. While bright colors are definitely in, light neutrals are also huge at the moment. Think creams, light greys, browns, even pale pink. It’s all about layering different neutral shades in order to add depth to an outfit, while keeping it light.
