Fashion Exhibit at MoMA

Last week, I headed over to MoMA to check out their fashion exhibit titled “Items: Is Fashion Modern?”. I’d seen and heard lot’s about this particular show and was dying to check it out, so, I hopped on the train and headed up town to see for myself what all of this talk was about.

Essentially, this exhibit explores the past present and future of fashion, through showcasing iconic styles and trends.  From Chanel’s infamous little black dress, to McQueen’s Armadillo Boots that became sensational when Lady Gaga wore them in her Bad Romance music video, this exhibit featured pivotal pieces in the fashion industry.

This exhibit was both beautiful and dynamic, and definitely managed to tell a story.  I had the best time walking around and seeing the evolution of fashion and different trends have come and gone. 

This exhibit is open through the end of January, so if you’re going to be here in New York between now and then, definitely stop by and check it out!
