Last month, I was feeling like switching up my workout routine, and decided to give yoga a go. I’ve taken a lot of yoga classes in the past and have loved it, but have never completely dove into the practive and made an effort to fully incorporate it into my life.
The Whitney is one of my favorite museums by far. Home to some of the most interesting pieces of american art (as well as some pretty cool views of the city), I would highly reccomend this place to anybody who hasn’t been.
Last weekend I headed to the International Center of Photography to see Lauren Greenfield’s newest art exhibit. For those of you who are not familiar with her work, Greenfield is a documentary filmmaker and photographer who has been working in the industry since 1992.
As a college student who is not on a meal plan, I sometimes find myself having to pick up a super quick meal when I’m on the go. Over the past few months, I’ve found a few places that are great to stop at when I’m looking for something that is both quick and fairly healthy.
Last week, I headed over to MoMA to check out their fashion exhibit titled “Items: Is Fashion Modern?”. I’d seen and heard lot’s about this particular show and was dying to check it out, so, I hopped on the train and headed up town to see for myself what all of this talk was about.
Yesterday my sister and I headed downtown and grabbed a bite to eat at The Butchers Daughter (one of my favorite spots). There, we caught up over delicious food and great coffee.
I think everyone can relate in some way or another to the fact that we all have a happy place. Somewhere that we can go anytime, no matter how we’re feeling, and instantly be calm. Personally, I am most at peace when I am outside. I love the feeling of the sun hitting my skin, breathing in fresh air and listening to the sound of silence fill the space. For me, these moments in which I can completely unplug are what keep me going.
Last week, I headed to New York to move into my dorm for the year. Much to my suprise, this move in process took less time than I expected, and I was left with a few free days before class started. As such, I decided to head to the Hamptons for the weekend to enjoy the last moments of my summer vacation.
Spring in New York really is something else. The city seems to come alive at this time of year. From vibrant tulips on Park Avenue, to beautiful cherry blossoms in the Central Park, it really is something to see.
