Green Tea & Honey Body Butter

January is one of the coldest months of the year, and I always find that the brutal weather takes its toll on my skin. As such, I decided to whip up a batch of my favorite nourishing body butter. Not only is it extremely hydrating, but it also includes ingredients that are meant to improve the complextion, leaving your skin smooth and polished.
Here is what you will need:
1/2 cup coconut oil
2 tbs green tea (cold)
1 tsp honey
Start off by bringing the green tea and honey to a boil, and then reduce the heat to a simmer, and cover for five minutes. In a separate bowl, measure out your coconut oil, and whip until soft peaks form (about 3-5 minutes). Once the tea is ready, remove from heat, and measure out two tablespoons into a separate bowl. Place the tea and coconut oil into the fridge until both are cool, and then combine and continue to whip until you reach a desired consistency.
This body butter is extremely moisturizing, and a little bit really goes a long way. It’s perfect to use before bed time, to ensure that your skin stays hydrated throughout the night. The combination of green tea, coconut oil and honey, is particularly nourshing and revitalizing to the skin, and is perfect for the colder months of the year.
