Spring and Summer 2019 Fashion Trends You Need In Your Life
Springtime is just around the corner, and while really we’re hardly hit by winter here in LA, there’s still somthing so exciting and refreshing about this time of year — mainly because it’s time to start thinking about swaping out our oversized coats for sundresses and sneakers. Spring is one of my favorite times of year when it comes to fashion, because it’s cool enough that you can still play around with layering, but not so cold to the point where you can’t walk out the door without a coat.
So, with that being said, let’s just get right to it…
Here are a a few fashion staples for the spring time.
Sundresses
During the warmer months of the year, I live for simple sundresses. They can easily be dressed up or town, styled in so many different ways and transition so well from day time to nighttime. Personally I love pairing a girly dress with an edgy jacket and some sneakers or combat boots in order to get that “girly meets edgy” look. Some of my fav places for dresses are Reformation, and Princess Polly.
Lightwash Jeans
Loose fitting, light wash jeans are the go-to this spring and summertime. They’re a step up from denim shorts, but still light and comfortable enough to be worn in warmer weather. I love pairing high waisted light wash jeans with a simple tee or crop top and sneakers for an effortless yet stylish look.
White Sneakers
When it comes to shoes, you really can’t go wrong with a pair of white sneakers. They are extremely versatile and can go with just about any outfit, and can be styled in so many different ways. Personally, I always try to go for shoes that add a little bit of height, and sneakers are a great way to do so. My white platform supergas are one of my go-to choices these days. It terms of footwear, they’re a pretty inexpensive choice, and I’ve found that they are both comfortable and durable. I also love the chunkier sneakers that are all the rage these days. My all time fav sneakers are the Alexander MQueen oversized sneakers. They’re a more interesting take on your average white sneaker, but can still be paired with any outfit. These shoes are on the expensive side, but the Stan Smith’s have a somewhat similar look for a fraction the price. Lastly, some of my all time favorite sneakers are the all white common project sneakers. These sneakers are simple yet contemporary, and in my opinion, the perfect basic all white sneaker.
Matching Sets
Any lover of fashion can probably attest to the fact that matching sets may just be one of the best things that’s ever happened. They can be worn together for an extremely chic and coordinated look, or mixed and matched with any basic piece of clothing. Some of my fav places to look for cute sets are Revolve, Verge Girl and Show Me Your Mumu, but you can honestly find them anywhere these days.
Fun Sunnies
Fun sunnies are in, and I’m here for it. Sunglasses are such a fun and simple way to add a unique twist to any outfit. I love pairing a simple outfit with some cool retro looking sunglasses, or throwing on some simple raybans for more of a “cool-girl” look.
